I’ve dealt with Lake District Audi for the last 6 years. Recently downsized from Q3 to A1. Matthew Newnham provided an excellent Sales service keeping me up to date with progress re delivery etc. Happy with the car, just one or two technical issues to clarify which hopefully will be sorted in the near future.

Charged the earth for changing the ABS sensor on my A6 £694 I looked at the price of the parts involved and discovered that these came to no more than £50. They then said that there was a fault with a wiring loom which they would also have to change and this would be a further £746 I found this strange to say the least and wanted to speak to the servicing manager who I found totally unsympathetic and somewhat arrogant. I had to agree for them to do the work as the car was undrivable and asked them to return the old loom for my inspection which they did not do so did they change it I suspect not, I was certainly charged for it. They also tried to charge me £385 for a rear light cluster because it had a small amount of water ingress after inspection by myself I found it was due to a foam seal which I repaired for under £5.00. They done a "Free Health Check" as they call it on the car which included checking the tyres and said that they were "Visually OK" no problems, a week later I had a puncture and took it to a local tyre fitter they told me that it needed 2 new rear tyres and showed me why, so much for Lake District Audis expertise. Lake District Audi in my opinion are ripping people off and getting away with it my advice to anyone is to use an independent specialist garage there a plenty of them out there they will do a good job and will not rip you off.

Fourteen days after taking ownership the gear box needed replacing and I discovered the car had only 113bhp, this was never explained and was massively under powered. So we returned it in February to have gear box replaced and the attitude of the stuck up young lady on reception was disgusting as I was five minutes late four a 9am appointment. After several attempts to complain about how dissatisfied I was with the car they offered to replace it as significantly less value than what I purchased it for. Next issues start in July 2021 the MMI starts failing and it has to go in for repair and it returns still with the same fault, they get it again in 2022 with the same fault by now I hated entering the garage ( Owe they offered me a compensation payment for all the hassle ) You must spend the money first and then they'll refund you with a receipt I said they can keep it. Free service is in 2022, in it goes and my wife takes it as I really can't stand them anymore. What a laughing stock I must have been £180.00 free service then it needed a second service as it drives off the forecourt as it requires an oil service then mechanical service this was never explained by the sales manager, it's also returns back caked in tree sap and dirt. The only good bit is it goes on the 28th November for a BMW and I never have deal with them again. So if you want a stuck up garage with awful customer and sales service get down to Lake District Audi and waste your hard earned money they'll be extremely grateful to take it.

I made an enquiry for someone to contact me 3 times from last Saturday using the Audi uk website to purchase an S3. A chap called Daniel finally called and promised some pics for the Monday morning as there were no pics on there website. I unfortunately did not receive the pics or a call so I had to make another enquiry using the Audi uk website as the telephone line to the dealership was unavailable due to the pandemic. Anyway Daniel called shortly after my enquiry and promised the pics for Tuesday morning by 10am. Unfortunately this did not happen again and all I got was a pic of one of the seats from the car and this was at lunch time. I called Daniel who said he would need to arrange for one of the guys from the dealership to call and arrange for the video and pics. A chap called either Ash or Stephen who I later found out was suppose to be some kind of long term business/finance manager that was not at all apologetic or sympathetic who came across rude and ended the call with me whilst in middle of my conversation for no apparent reason. 5 minutes later he calls back saying line went funny and again no apology and back to being sarcastic and patronising and when I questioned him about the service I had received, his response was ‘you obviously don’t want to by the car’ and hung up. I called and asked to speak to the senior manager to voice my experience which I later received a call from someone who immediately took his colleagues corner and also became somewhat patronising and refused to email me back as I was suspicious that he was just a colleague pretending to be a senior manager. DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THIS ROUGH DEALERSHIP.

I would have left zero stars if possible I just phoned up to enquire about the outstanding Recall on my Audi. 1st of all the woman was very rude on the phone to me and then told me to phone back later that day as they are really busy with other customers. I am sorry but this is not good customer service im enquiring about a recall that could cause FIRE in the car I transport my family in I expect to be treated like I was when I am a paying customer. you have failed Audi and probably lost a long time customer this is my 7th Audi I have owned and probably my last now.
