Disgusting service, would not recommend
I bought a car last year from Autobarn Sheffield, thinking because it's from a garage then everything will be in order and I wouldn't have to worry about anything. I paid extra money for an extended warranty, which was suppose to start after the initial free provided warranty. I paid about £150 for this. I tried to haggle on the price but they said no - because supposedly they was going to do the final service and mot, as well as replace a little plastic trim. I left the car with them for an extra week for all of this to be done, I was assured that everything was good. At the time I thought they were all friendly people... Shortly after buying, the car suffered an engine malfunction, limp mode, it pretty much gave up on me on a duel carriage way. It was squealing when being driven too. I wasn't offered any support from the garage and was told unless its on their courtyard then it's not their problem. Horrible experience, I had to wait all afternoon until RAC came to help me at around midnight. The garages service was appalling, emails and messages ignored too and spoken to like I was nobody. Now, I trusted what these guys had told me. I thought everything was okay because it was from a garage. I had put in my diary when the most faith ot should be, turns out after a non fault accident... They had never done the mot. So they gave it me on collection with the same short mot when I looked at the car and had asked for them to do this (settling for paying the full car price for this0 They also hadn't done the final service. I hadn't checked up on everything because this was my first car and I just trusted them. Never again. I would not recommend this garage to anyone, I'd give 0 stars if I could. Well and truly disappointed now. Lost faith in garages now, I'm dreading the day I need to buy a new car.
