I bought a Chrysler PT Cruiser Ltd Edition Convertible from Autowest in June 2017... i used the dvla mot checker which verified the mileage & hi-lighted any previous advisories.. i did a full hpi & insurance write off check.. i looked at forums for any particular common faults... i checked autotrader for a valuation for the cars year.. i checked the tax bracket it had now gone into with the dvla changes that took effect in April this year.. i looked at numerous sites for reviews on Autowest garage.. i rang up & negotiated agreed price with a full valet.. complete car check & a years mot.. i took 2 trains to get there & Lee picked me uo from the station.. when i got to the garage the car was still on the ramp as whilst checking it was found a linkage on the breaks was faulty.. Lee apoligised offered oodles of coffee.. we did the paperwork.. he gave me a 3 month 3rd party warranty , a deduction for the cost of the mot ( it was late & could not be booked in).. and also written confirmation that if i got a mot within 7 days..if it failed or received advisories Autowest would reimburse the costs.. i must say what a gem of a car..mot centre i went to said it was pristine low mileage car. £18,500 new.. and an absolute snip at £1600 on an 06 plate.. Paintwork, interior are as new.. of course there are a couple of minor faults.. the clip broken to the heated seats power pack & a fuse needing replacing... What people tend to forget when purchasing a car is that a) its not new b) do some research c) get AA inspection If spending larger Amounts of cash d) people generally respond in the manner they have Initially been spoken to. I know its a lengthy review but garages are generally on a hiding to nothing..we all feel when parting with our hard earned cash that we are buying a faultless 'new' car & should never have to spend any money on it in the future. I bought an 11 year old car with all the paperwork including the receipt from new but fully understand that it is likely to need money spent to keep it as good as it is (new rear pads next month.. & i asked before purchsse & was told the depth plus had about 3000 miles left on them). GREAT GARAGE..FANTASTIC SERVICE & AN AMAZING RETRO CAR.. WORTH EVERY PENNY & TIME TRSVELLING FROM SUFFOLK HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
