Bought a 2013 bmw 1 series 118d sport, appreciated the fact they weren't fussy or pushing. test drove the car it drove clean so on the way home I decided I am just going to buy it due to it ticking all the boxes of what I wanted, But due to being unable to send the whole £7990 my bank would only allow me to send £5000 I told Brian I would send what I could over then ill send the rest on my way down to pick the car up the next day or so which he said ok.. I asked 3x about the cars service and due to this being the very first car I have ever bought ill admit I made a few mistakes.. One being checking how many miles until its due a service and not checking how much time was left on it, I picked the car up on the 29th November and by the 1st of December (2 days or so) the service light comes on.. I send Brian pics of it saying the car needs a service etc and text him has ignored me so I go to grab all the documents to take the car back due to not wanting to buy a almost £8000 car that needs a service? lol but then I look at the v5 and has put the 5k I sent to him down as a non refundable deposit. I admit mistakes were made and there's more than likely nothing I can do at this point but he 100% capitalized on my novice car buying and stiffed me. So far the cars been ok I will admit but I just want new car buyers to be aware so they don't make similar mistakes
