Avoid at all costs. Numerous court claims have been filed against them, and after my turn to file against them, I was assaulted by Nic Colebrook, during a conversation about reimbursing the claim costs, after their refusal to repair a faulty air conditioning system. Nic told me that the court case was unnecessary, and that the £115 cost to file the case was my own fault, because I should have trusted them, despite them dragging their heels for almost 3 months. All trust was lost long before the case was filed, so of course I sought court action against them, since it was my only option. The assault is now under police investigation. Long story: I bought a used car here in February 2024, which seemed fine at the time. It turned out the the AC wasn't working, which both Colebrook & Sons and I agreed was difficult to verify in February, due to the cold weather outside and not being able to tell the difference between cold, outside air and air that had been cooled by the AC system. I contacted Colebrook & Sons at the end of May to arrange a repair. I was informed that because the 3 month warranty had expired, there was nothing that they were obliged to do. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 disagrees, and supersedes any policies and warranties offered by the dealer, as confirmed by Citizens Advice, multiple times. I persisted, and Colebrook & Sons kept delaying and refusing responsibility. After almost 3 months of emails, with Colebrook & Sons seemingly ignoring and dismissing me, in an apparent attempt to exhaust me, I filed a court claim against them. As part of this process, I sent them a letter before legal action, giving them 14 days to refund me the equivalent cost of the repair, which was established by gathering multiple quotes, as suggested by Citizens Advice. The 14 day deadline passed without any contact, so I filed the court claim, which cost me £115. A week after this claim was filed (3 months after initially reporting the fault), I was told that it could be taken in for repair. A week later, after collecting the car after it had been repaired, I asked for reimbursement for the £115. I felt that this was justified because Colebrook & Sons had shown absolutely no intention of repairing the AC system, given their constant ignoring of my emails, missing of their own deadlines, and initial refusal to even accept that it was their responsibility to fix, despite the law categorically stating that it is their responsibility. Nic told me that I should have trusted them to get the work done, and that I did not need to open a court claim. My view is that I was left with no other option, after months without progress? Eventually, the conversation turned sour enough that Nic decided to take his shirt off to assault me, shoving me out of the office. Eventually, a few days later, Colebrook & Sons agreed to reimburse 50% of the court claim. Since a court hearing would cost a further £185, I begrudgingly settled for this. Even if this assault didn't take place, and even if they had repaired the car before I opened a court claim against them, I still would rate them 1 star, for absolutely no after-sales service for my as a customer, rude communication throughout the situation, and refusal to abide by the law until I filed a court case against them. Having read their reviews, it seems that they have been taken to court on many occasions over the years, and the courts always sided with the customer. This obviously excludes anybody else who was worn down and exhausted by Colebrook & Sons, and didn't have the energy to fight them, so there is no real telling how many people are owed money or repairs by this dealer, for selling faulty cars. Judging by their replies to other reviews, I expect that Colebrook & Sons will reply to this and attempt to brush aside their behaviour, or even justify it. They told me that I was being aggressive when requesting my court fee reimbursement. This is not the case, I was being firm, but not rude or aggressive, but even if I was, this does not justify assault! Buyer be warned.

Won them in a court case. I'm not saying don't buy a car from here but make sure it is THOROUGHLY checked by a mechanic. Bought a faulty car from them. It went back 10 times in the 1st three months. They did replace various parts but the steering rack had gone. They replaced the steering pump 4 times which obviously kept failing, but said the rack was fine. Took to 2 other garages who confirmed it was unsafe to drive. After 18 months I won in Crown Court. Be aware! A lot of money, time and energy to get Colebrook & Sons to court but I won so they had to collect car and pay costs.

Bought a fauly car, refused to refund me well within 30days (the issue was reported within less then a week) they then had the car for 2 weeks whilst they "fixed" it. (this is after 3 weeks of being messed around to get me out of the 30days right to reject. i picked the car back up and within 42 miles the issue made itself present again. they picked the car up again, and on the bank holiday monday was told (have proof) that there is clearly an issue, they can hear it etc and it will be having the engine stripped to find the cause of the issue on tuesday (being a bank holiday) tuesday i spoke with citizens advice who told me i have a final right to reject as they have tried to fix the issue and failed to do so. so tuesday i rejected the car by email for proof to which they then tried to state there was no issue with the car ( i assume it magically fixed itself over night ) since then it has been 5+ weeks of waiting for AA to do there "dispute resolution" but i dont hold out much hope. i shall be seeking court action none the less but as has been proven if you look it up, Nic the owner has ways of trying to get out of paying his debts, claiming his earnings are much lower then they are to avoid paying the correct taxes, claiming assets of the company are £1 despite having a good 100k worth of cars on the forecourt. and then simply opening up again under a different name. He tries to threaten and intimidate in the hopes your just go away, but.. unfortunately for him i wont just go away. Best bet is to avoid them completely or loose your hard earned cash, time and effort dealing with the absolute scam artist

I bought a white Picasso c3, very pleased with this car, the seller is very approachable, i am happy to deal with this seller again, feel that i got a good price for the car. The seller at Colebrooks of Bournemouth, Dale made the process easy.
Colebrooks of Bournemouth are very good with customer (me) who knows little about cars. Ask for Dale and ask him any questions u want about the cars and go for a test drive. Straight forward friendly, easy good value purchase for first time buyer!

After parting with £10000 for a BMW I was promised the earth by Colebrooks of Bournemouth. There was a dangerous tyre which I was promised would be replaced and the alloy repaired prior to me collecting the car. I subsequently discovered that the wheel had simply been swapped for the spare thus I now have an illegal and dangerous spare wheel. 2 further defects were not repaired as promised and I have discovered the repair will cost almost £1000 and is not covered on the warranty which I also purchased. The big guy called Derrick (although he may also have lied about this) tricked me completely and Derrick if youre reading this I have all the evidence so please challenge me if you with, I have stuck to the facts. Essentially I have been left with very expensive repairs and feel like Ive been robbed, I'm distraught. Dont be treated like me and use a reputable dealer instead. I'm happy to answer specific questions on my experience.

Bought a fantastic passat from Dale at Colebrooks of Bournemouth. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the whole process from start to finish. Very rare to find a used car dealership that actually leaves you having faith in buying cars again. Did all the things we asked for and more. FIVE STAR.
I bought a car from Colebrooks back in April and and I am not very happy with the service. I was mislead about the warranty covering certain things when it doesn't and the dealership were very slow and unreliable when I needed issues with the car to be resolved. I can not recommend this dealer based on my experience with them.
