Shocking!

We have literally just purchased a Corsa off Dave and within 24hrs the engine mounting failed. The garage said this was a pre-existing condition and that the car has been sold despite not being fit for purpose. Dave is being really unhelpful and not offering us a refund. My daughter is devastated and she saved hard for this car and it now looks like we have been scammed by this person. I'm at a loss now and don't know what to do. He keeps saying 'call me in a couple of days' We have spent insurance, road tax and towing costs. Can anyone offer some advice
