Avoid!

First time I have ever spent a lot of money on a car and first time ive ever bought from a garage. never again! Purchased a BMW 1 series from Edgerley Car Sales. A few things needed fixing before purchase which they said they would fix - broken glass on passenger window, petrol cap wouldn't lock etc. when I went to collect, a piece of glass stuck over the top of the broken glass and petrol cap not fixed. as soon as I got it home, engine warning light came on and they come to collect the car to 'fix it' . once returned, the car still had the same fault. sending the car back again, terrible customer service. made it seem an inconvenience. I said its unacceptable and was told its a second hand car-its not meant to be perfect - at the end of the day, I know that but I expect it to be working! they said they fixed the petrol cap - still wasn't fixed. my car was in the garage every month for 4 months to which I bit the bullet and took it to bmw - the whole engine needed replacing! they contacted edgerly as my car was under warranty so they could pay and they were very argumentative. they paid literally pounds, I mean 4/5 pounds less than they were supposed to and kicked up a fuss about it. like trying to get blood out of a stone! in a year, I drove my car about 4 months-the rest of the time was a courtesy car. very rude staff, unreliable cars. would never buy again. I was going to take them to the small claims court for selling me a dodgy car but seeing as BMW sorted my issues for me, I left it. Avoid at all costs!
