Terrible sales staff
Motability buyers beware, * weeks ago my wife ordered a Mitsubishi Eclipse 4 from Europa Prestige Sheffield. For personal reasons, we asked for a delivery date of 28th September 2018.. The car was ordered and delivered to the company approx 2 weeks later, when I went down to view it and was assured everything was ok for the 28th. We were informed by motobility, 2 weeks after the initial order, that everything had passed and completed we also received our pin number at the same time. On 24th September 2018, 2 days before delivery was due (6 weeks after they received the car in their compound), we received a phone call from Rob Hardy the motobility sales rep, that we couldn't have the car delivered on the day, due to a holdup with motobility. I contacted motobility and after checking for me, they informed me there was no holdup and we should be able to have the car as per the contract date. To clarify matters, motobility phoned Rob Hardy and when asked why there was a delay,, Rob Hardy informed motobility that it was Europas fault but motobility said he was very evasive. I then phoned Europa and asked to speak to someone with my complaint. I was eventually put through to the service director. The conversation was very short, no reason for delay given, just "you cant have the car on the day". I replied "fine, I will come and cancel the contract and get my part deposit payment of £2000 back. Simple answer from him short and sharp, "well come and get it". That was the end of the conversation. I went down to cancel and get my money back. On arrival I asked to speak to somebody about it. Immediately Rob Hardy appeared, as he had lied to me according to 3 different people at mobility, I told him I wanted to speak to someone else. His answer was, "sit at my desk and I will give you my money back". No apology, no sorry we made a mistake. Once we were sat down, he still claimed it was mobility that was at fault and I wouldn't know as I couldn't log into the system. This was a totally ridiculous claim as motobility had already confirmed he had admitted to them it was Europa fault. I got my money back and realized, if that is how they deal with disabled people, I'm glad we didn't buy from them. The funny thing is, when I got there, if somebody in charge had bothered to deal with me and apologize, I would have accepted the delay in delivery. Thankfully, we learnt in time what sort of company they are. What they don't realize, the contract couldn't be cancelled my me as it was my wife's contract and the gave my wife's deposit back to me, not my wife. Europa Prestige Sheffield is a totally unprofessional company.
