Rubbish service never returning
1. If I wasn't interested in the car at the price it was before I came to the dealership, the salesman wouldn't have sold me the car. 2. The salesman had no people skills and was only interested in what he could offer me in terms of finance or monthly extras such as warranty, or paint jobs. 3. The valuation he gave my car was completely wrong and inaccurate. My previous car was in showroom condition, 54000 miles and 6 years old. He could only offer me £2000 for it, however I went to a few 'buy any car' websites and they offered me nearly double that amount. The salesman had no idea what he was talking about and wasn't prepared to negotiate the price of the part exchange. 4. When I decided to purchase the car without a part exchange, he was very pushy on finance and added extras and wouldn't take no for an answer. He even called his manager out to try and get us to purchase some added extras, to which he also doesn't know the meaning of the work no. If the car wasn't right for me I would of walked out there and then. 5. I noticed a couple of scuffs on the alloys before purchase which the salesman said he would sort out, fair enough. However he took the car out to refuel, brought it back and somehow scratched the back bumper AND WAS'NT GOING TO TELL ME! I got the car home, had a quick look round it and noticed it then, phoned the dealership up straight away, and one of the other salesman said he did 'see it' before I left. I did wonder why the salesman wasn't giving us any eye contact and very quiet about the car when he brought it back. This is what made me very angry, the fact that he wasn't going to say anything. 6. The car got taken back to get the alloys done and the bumper scratch sorted, which fair enough was good of them to do. However, the same salesman told us it would only be 'a couple of hours' to do both parts. So we waited around for a few hours, bearing in mind it was a Friday and we both have full-time jobs to get to. We come back after a few hours and he says it could 'take a while longer'. Why he didn't just tell us to come back later to pick it up and find out how long these things take to do before tell us to wait around. The salesman didn't have a clue how long it would take and wasted our time. 7. The car I bought was at the right price, and definitely what I was looking for. However the salesman I had been dealing with had absolutely no people skills and incredibly dishonest. A typical car salesman who wants to take the very highest amount of money from people for very little work. I have never been so pushed about added extras, his manager seems to not understand this either and clearly doesn't know the word no. The lack of sales skills is laughable, and the dishonesty about the scratch to the car is what made me feel physically sick. I have never been so insulted and am never returning to this Evans Halshaw dealership for anything again!
