Car Dealer Reviews is an

Having first seen the Volvo XC90 advertised on Autotrader I travelled with my wife to inspect the car, first impressions were very good it was exactly what the ad said the test drive was equally impressive Pam made us feel very comfortable as customers and we had a very good rapport with her very pleasant, we finalised the deal with a deposit and picked up the car one week later fully serviced as it was due one plus an MOT that was not actually needed for nearly three months, well done Pam and the team at GP motors. Andy.
I bought a 15 month old MINI from GP Cars. We travelled 80 miles to view it at a timed appointment with Pam and were delighted that the spec was actually better than advertised. The car has been fine in the month since we bought it and will go into our local MINI dealer for the TLC servicing that was also an additional surprise in the overall package. We are very pleased with the car and the service we received.
As a retired motor industry advertising/ PR boss I feel qualified to comment on a number of levels the defender 90 is for us to use as a 3rd car this vehicle had been prepared beautifully, and a perfect example. Work undertaken was beyond apparent needs the GP Cars business is run on a exemplary model of customer care and thoughtful service with products presented perfectly dealership sales staff can hide behind the corporate mask if problems arise not Graham Perkins [GP] whose business sells 100 cars a month from his home and farm thank you bob for making our experience a joy.
DO NOT BUY FORM THIS DEALER. Since purchase in March I have been back 7 times with numerous serious faults noted below. Within two days - smoking brakes - they repaired it (apparently) then back two days later with same issue as I was pulled over by the police - they had not connected the pipe properly - DANGEROUS. 6th June - so after 2 months - no acceleration, chugging engine and fault light on - apparent split pressure hose back again in a week as hose not connected properly then a further 4 visits for same issues (my car spent more time back with them and never worked properly) - pipes apparently splitting due to age. I run my own business so lost out on work. i Itold them I did not trust this diagnosis and thought the engine had a serious fault - denied this finally took it to a car mechanic who fault tested it as needing a new turbo costing about £2000. Dangerous vehicle. They told me as the fault light kept going on and off they could not fault test it unless the light was on - so when I lost acceleration to just pull over and turn the engine off to reset it - HOW DANGEROUS IS THAT. Now i have requested a refund and they have offered me £2000 less because I drove the car in between the faults. Disgraceful. Looks all legit when you arrive with the amazing sports cars on the drive but they should not be selling vehicles and certainly not repairing them. I now have no vehicle and they have consulted lawyers as I refuse to accept this disgusting service.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. My husband brought a car from GP Cars back in January. We have spent the year trying to get our money back from them. They withheld information. Did not disclose that the car had had a new engine a year previously. They have refused to communicate with us. They have refused to do work that needed doing to make the car safe. We are now taking them to court in the hope we can get our money back.
I dealt with Bob at GP cars and I could not have had a more pleasant experience, extremely helpful and open about the focus that I purchased went out of his way to point out any blemishes, gave me free access to the vehicle and plenty of time to inspect and make up my mind without any pressure would recommend GP Cars to any one.
I recently bought a car from Pam. From the initial phone call through to the Handover she was absolutely fantastic, kept me informed during the whole process and stuck to her word. One of the best days of my life seeing my new Honda. I will be back to buy my daughters car.
After my experience I implore anyone thinking about buying a vehicle from GP Cars to think very carefully about doing so. The car I was interested in was the only of it's model and specification in the country and therefore I felt the 360 mile round trip to view it was worthwhile. Pam was very helpful in arranging the appointment and was flexible with the time given the distance involved. The car was in the condition advertised and I was given time and space to view it. I was allowed a decent amount of time to test drive it and view the history of the car at my own pace. Due to the condition of the car, sensible price and it's relative rarity I decided to put a deposit down on the vehicle as it was exactly what I was looking for. Pam took the £1,000 (£1,000, for an independent garage!) deposit over the phone the following morning and assured me that the car would be taken off sale and nobody would be allowed to view or test drive it. The car needed to be prepared before it could be sold so we agreed that Pam would call me five days later to give me an update, which I was fine with as we agreed that the best course of action for me would be to arrange finance myself and that would take a few days as well. I reassured GP Cars that if this finance was taking too long I could take out finance through the dealer themselves to secure the car. Pam assured me that they would wait up to two weeks before we had to do that which was plenty of time. TWO days later I was repeatedly called whilst at work and received a voicemail from another salesperson called Alice. When I returned her call I was asked whether I had secured the finance on the car yet as somebody else had viewed and test driven the car since I had paid the deposit (!) and GP Cars wanted to sell it to them instead. I was told that the deposit was only 'valid' for 48 hours and this time period was now up. I told Alice that the finance was being arranged but would not reach my account for a few working days. Alice said she would inform the sales manager and he would call me back. I never received a call from him. As arranged, Pam called me after five days to say that if I didn't have the finance they would be forced to sell the car to somebody else. I confirmed that I had been accepted for the finance and was waiting for the money to be transferred. I asked for it to be confirmed that the car was ready to be collected due to the haste of the garage in selling but received no response. For the next week I received very little communication from GP Cars despite confirming repeatedly to them that the money had been transferred and that I was ready to collect the vehicle. I eventually received a text message saying that the car had been sold to somebody else and inferred that the reason why they had done so was because I was 'not ready' to buy the car. My deposit was returned a few days later. After my deposit had been returned, the car was still advertised as for sale on most known websites including Auto Trader. I am extremely disappointed by the service that I received from GP Cars, it is my opinion that I have been the victim of profiteering once I had placed my deposit and GP Cars realised the rarity of the vehicle and the interest that was shown in the days leading up to and after me viewing and committing to buy it. I was left out of pocket and wasted a considerable amount of time and energy dealing with the business. I highly recommend avoiding dealing with GP Cars unless you absolutely have to.

We recently bought a Fiat 500 from GP cars. I feel like we got very good value for money and are more than happy with it. The team was very helpful and about 3 weeks after purchase I thought something was wrong with the car. I rang them and they immediately arranged for the car to be collected at my work and brought it back the same day. It turned out everything was fine with it fortunately, however, I was very impressed with their customer service. Definitely recommend it!
I have recently purchased a Jaguar from GP Cars and am delighted with it. It was prepared to a very high standard both inside and out such that it would be difficult to imagine how much different it would have been when new. This is the third car I have purchased from them in the past five years and all have been equally good. My daughter now runs the first one, an MR2 and she loves it. I had the opportunity to give the Jaguar a lengthy appraisal before deciding and all aspects of the purchased were conducted efficiently. Based on my experience I have no hesitation in recommending this dealer for serious consideration when looking to change your car.
