Used car warranty
An update for how bad Stockport jaguar is, having been told by a “jaguar specialist” at the roadside who came to assess the car (please see below comments from myself) having done a diagnostic on my used warrantied car, he stated the car needs to go in for the 2 faults I have found. When the car arrived at Stockport jaguar I get a phone call asking, can I give permission to carry out an investigation. I say yes as the car has 2 faults and these need to be rectified. 7 days later I get a bill for £360. They say they cannot find a fault. I have had 9 telephone conversations with Stockport jaguar on numerous conversations I was told about the 2 faults but they keep asking for permission to continue the investigation. (That’s fine as both the roadside jaguar specialist have stated 2 problems and the mechanic who works for jaguar has said the 2 faults exist). They continue to push for more time as they charge you £180 inc vat per hour just to look at your car even though all used cars come with the warranty, and everyone is saying it has faults. Then I get a phone call and suddenly the car has fixed itself and the faults are GONE. Amazing that, so it’s not a warranty problem and you own us £360. This case is now going to court, please please please when you buy a Used car and they give you a warranty, honest. It’s a real waste of time. They could give you a 10 year warranty but will charge you £180 per hour when a fault arises with your car. The reason they do this is because they know the poor poor quality of the inner workings of both jaguars and Range Rover. The look aesthetically good but mechanically they are the worst car I have ever had. And this is not a bitter post, it’s just I need to let people / public know how bad your are treated when things go wrong with the cars. And the do nothing to help you, and just keep stating “you have to take it up with the warranty company” This post will be continually posted and updated until the court case has completed. Look on trust pilot, jaguar Stockport has. 1 rating. The worst you can get, I do expect a response on this by someone who stays, “ please phone me so we can look into this” I have done this before with other issues with the car and try say this so people reading this think, they are doing something about it. It they don’t do nothing. It’s just for people to read and TUI k the customer service is good. Which it definitely is not Yet again my car goes into guy salmon with an engine management problem. The car basically lost all power on the motorway, stalled and I had to pull to the hard shoulder. The car was horrible to drive. When I arrived home I phoned jaguar, they sent a “jaguar specialist” who stated the car definitely needs to go into the dealership. 6 days later I get the phone call I was expecting, “ we may charge you for the work that needs to be carried out” ie we will work on your car which has a engine management system fault but it may not be covered by warranty. “You need to authorise that you will pay for the work that we do finding the issue with your “warranted” used jaguar. Again jaguar hold you to ransom, any issue you have to take the gamble if it’s under warranty or not. I have never had a issue with the used warranty I have with Mercedes, the car I traded in. I cannot give jaguar more than a one star for how bad they treat customers with warranty cars. Never again to purchase a jaguar or Range Rover. Poor poor customer service
