Sold an insurance write-off as car without accident. We were new to the UK and did not know that we could check a car's history on the Internet. HF Bows Motor Sales shamelessly exploited the situation and, despite we were asking explicitly whether the car had been involved in an accident, confirmed that it had never had one. We only found out when we wanted to sell the car a year later to a dealer who checked its history. In fact the car was an insurance write-off, so the damage had been severe.
