Death Trap
Sidney Udorie didn't want to discuss a potential sale simply because he wasn't near the file despite calling the landline? The test drove amounted to a square route around the local industrial estate, lasting barely 5 minutes and a 30mph experience, this despite the M56 running past his business? Drove the vehicle home, and on a straight dual carriageway at 70mph the vehicle strayed massively towards the central reservation! An independent national garage identified alarming upright movement in the front wheels. Furthermore, a historical repair following an accident showed wrong front discs fitted resulting in a pityful15% breaking capacity. Further disturbing additional steering problems also came to light. I would even question the dubious MOT certificate that came with the vehicle when I was able to identify the issuing garage on Street View. Countless faults with the vehicle have resulted in me having to spend almost the entire purchase price in countless repairs. Only 1 key for the vehicle available despite attempting to tell me initially that a replacement would cost me around £60/£70 pounds. In fact this cost me £143. The car manual in the pouch was not relevant to the model I purchased. Sidney failed to register the transfer of the vehicle on-line with DVLA, despite him confirming he'd completed this whilst sitting in front of him on the day of purchase. I chased him up after 2 weeks when my log book failed to turn up. Neither was a 3 month guarantee given to me on the day. Sidney also failed to issue me with a receipt of sale, despite this in part being my fault for not realising, why wasn't this second nature to him? Despite asking him on the day for his professional appraisal of the vehicle, Sidney basically sold me a death trap, which in my view also questions how the AA Approval Scheme is validated? I didn't give Sidney the opportunity to make the repairs, as by this point I had zero confidence in the operation and didn't feel for one minute that any such repairs would have been conducted to the required standard. So in this respect, I wholly accept that the vast cost of these repairs were completely undertaken of my own volition. The car continues to cost me and am so fed up with it now that I have finally decided to write this damning review - something I wouldn't do lightly.
