I APOLOGISE THIS IS GOING TO BE LONG REVIEW. My daughter bought a car from MICK DWANE. With an advisor on brake pipe. Same as the year before. She took it for a service as she is a new driver and wanted to make sure it was road worthy. But was told it should never have passed its m o t. They showed her why. Foil round exhaust. Brake pipe corroded. Back track rod end needed fixing. Pictures were taken. She was told it not safe. She booked it in for the next day to be fixed. She had just got home when the brake pipe broke. She managed to get it back to the garage as its 2 mins down thr rd. She was going to pay nearly £500 to have it fixed. But I said it's still under warranty and should go back. But she didnt trust mick now. Her partner rang mick who gave her £180 Towards it. However i was not happy. I rang him and was fuming. But I kept calm. Told him I was not happy At the fact he had put my family at risk. He apologised and went on about how he has been in the business over 30 years. And would never put a family at risk. He accused the garage of tampering with it . I asked why would they do that. He said to make money. I clearly pointed out that its still under warranty so they wouldnt get anything. After a very long conversation I said I would get my daughter to allow him to fix it. He said he will order a new exhaust and sort all the other issues out. As he wanted the parts to take back the the m o t center. He thanked me for being polite. He aranged to collect it Saturday from the garage. When he went to collect it. He had the cheek to ask the manager if he new what he was doing and was very rude. She got the car back Monday. Where he went to her and tried to cuddle her and make out like they were friends. My girl felt quiet sick after. She took it straight round to the garage. He hadn't put new exhaust on just did some welding. They said it's not the best but it will manage. Brake pipe sorted. How ever track rod not done. So I gave him a call today. Asked why he hadn't put new exhaust on and the track rod not sorted. He started shouting at me. Blamed it all on the m o t center. When I asked if he took parts to them. Why should I. He made out none of this was his fault. Said no one told him about track rod. Bloody lier. He then said she has £180 of his money. I said yes as its going to cost to fix the car. You know the 1 you sold. He shouted saying I was a vile disgusting person who is just trying to get more out of him. Then hung up. What a horrible man. SO DO NOT BUY FROM HIM.
