Shoddy, shoddy customer service; avoid
I am buying a new Giulia Quadrifoglio, a fabulous car by all accounts. I contacted Motor Village Croydon twice via email, tried booking a test-drive, called them and finally, as I was getting no bloody joy at all, visited the dealership in person. I was met by Natalie at reception who said that the computers were down hence no contact was made. Yeah, sure! I then spoke to a sales chap called Paul Gaynor who explained to me that the Quad was based at their other dealership and that they would get it sent over for a test-drive. Again, nothing has happened since in the 2 weeks since. So, from my 1st attempted contact to now (over a 6 week period) (with 5 attempts made by me) this dealer has NOT bothered to make contact even once. I expect what they want is someone going in waving a deposit cheque to pique their interest, paying the deposit and then getting to see the car. Why bother otherwise, the customer may well be a time-waster! Either their customer facing operations are shambolic or they don't care. This, when FCA is pouring in billions of euros to make their AR brand attractive and profitable again. Mind you, this dealer is owned by FCA so that makes their attitude even more perplexing. I am complaining to the ARUK HO about this as I am now taking my business elsewhere and am in the process of ordering this car from new. I do not anticipate ever going back to this shambolic set-up.
