Disgruntled potential buyer
I arranged for an RAC inspection of a vehicle and paid a £200 holding deposit. When the RAC arrived the car had a major water leak and were unable to carry out a test drive. They also identified numerous other faults with the car. I decided not to complete the purchase but the dealer refused to refund my deposit stating that the RAC had not found a major fault. Without a test drive I do not consider that a full inspection was done and would suggest that their failure to resolve the water leak before the RAC arrived to carry out the inspection was a tactic to prevent a test drive that may have detected a major fault. Proceed with caution when buying a car from these individuals.
