They put the wrong oil in the gearbox!
I bought a 5008 7 years ago and had a relatively frustrating relationship with the dealer, one example being they lost my car key when servicing and blamed me saying they had no record of it being handed in. They found it 4 days later with no apology. I decided to buy another 5008 as my partner didn't want anything bigger and we need a 7 seater for all the children. Terrible buying experience where they wouldn't match price of other Peugeot dealers, added lots of extras without them being requested and then issues with delays for delivery. I should have cancelled at this point. When I finally got the car all was well but after 10 weeks the car would cut out when driving which was very dangerous. The AA said they have this happen on a few Peugeot cars the last few months and it was too dangerous to drive. After 3 hours on the phone trying to get Peugeot to look at it sooner than their original 4 week waiting time, they agreed to look at it under warranty. One of the staff told me it was a know issue and should really be a recall but that would not be good for PR and cost... The fault being that they put the wrong oil in the gearbox at the factory...WHAT! It's been 6 weeks and they can't give me any updates to when they can get the car fixed as the oil isn't available for some reason. No offer of any compensation or replacement as I'm out of the 30 day period when I can request that. So painful and I wish I hadn't been a loyal customer going against my gut.
