Avoid at all costs
We arrived today to collect our new car, on arrival the car wasn’t ready. Then a customer arrived after us for a later appointment and there car was ready valeted and park on the front when he arrived. After around 15 minutes our car came round - there was damage on the car which after us pointing it out it was improved whilst we waited but not once was there an apology or any level of customer service - once we were happy with the condition of the vehicle I left leaving my partner to finish the paperwork. Roughly an hour into my journey home my partner called me to ask me to come back as after leaving site the car was seriously smoking and had a horrendous smell . He took the car back to the site and was told the mechanics would take a look and take it on a drive, after this even though he told them he didn’t want the car they insisted he took it for another drive, the car didn’t smoke this time but did have an awful smell the same as the previous drive, the handover executive agreed the car had a awful smell. After arguing the toss and him confirming several times he wasn’t having the car which they just tried to brush over because it hadn’t smoked the second time he took it out, they thought this was acceptable and he should take the car. He Finally got his point Across and was told the finance would be cancelled Monday and the £149 prep fee and the road tax would be refunded but the £500 deposit was non refundable. After over an hour back and forth they finally agreed to refund the £500 but the handover executive had clearly been told not to give us this back initially as he was very stubborn, there was no manager on site and no one came to speak to my partner to apologise or offer any help. In total he was there for over 4 hours to come away with no car. Along with in total a 270 mile round trip (with no compensation offered ) we are now looking again for another car. Absolutely Disgusting avoid at all costs.
