Be aware of your rights if purchasing a
Purchased a bmw 5 series from SR Motor Company in Aug 18, John Trench sales advisor appeared professional and efficient but did feel once I had agreed to buy the car he was rushing you on phone, in meetings or with a customer and you felt you were an inconvenience. I had an issue now resolved after 7weeks of stress and emails and letters. Initial phone call to him saying my car needed repaired I found he had no empathy or consideration of my situation as I was 400 miles away on holiday, he repeatedly asked me to bring it in which was not possible he was cheeky and I felt I had been had. He offered no financial help at that point as I had to put into a garage to get repaired. As soon as I mentioned I will take it further things changed. I refused to ring him and got advice from citizens advice who liaise with trading standards. He soon appeared to be polite and sorry about my situation and at that point offered money back. I was going down the small claims court if not resolved but it is now. So write in so you have evidence of all communications. Regarding the garage, I can't comment on their other vehicles, they do sell a lot of high spec cars but I would hate anyone else to be put in the position I was. I am pleased with my car now sorted, but I would advise an AA check on vehicle for own peace of mind.
