Be VERY careful !!!

I went to buy a car from SAJ who runs SR Motors. He agreed to complete works and confirmed the car would be ready the next day. Car was not ready, it had failed it’s MOT. ( This also means the test drive I had taken was in a car without MOT and therefore insurance.) SR Motors seem to think they trade plates cover them for no MOT. This is incorrect. Be careful as it is the driver that would be prosecuted for driving with no MOT or Insurance. The car was not then ready on any of the following four days as SR Motors were supposedly waiting for a tyre. (Tyres are normally available within a day??) When I was then phoned to say the car was ready and required about the works. ( two replacement front springs) that had been agreed. SAJ has a great case of memory failure. He claimed he would not now replace the springs. As a result I did not buy the car, as it was not as agreed or available when agreed. They are refusing to refund my deposit. Be very careful of dealing with this company. A company check confirms the business is owned by others and has no credit history. Please learn from my mistake. I should have realised when SAJ told me he was looking for cash rather than a bank transfer. You have been warned. !!
