I bought a Vauxhall Meriva from Steve James Motor Cars last April ….. At the time I was highly pleased and gave them a 5 star Review on this forum. The car has been running fine upto a couple of weeks ago when the heater failed. Numourous Mechanics have looked at it including the A.A They all agree that the engine has had a quick fix with a Sealent of some description as a short term repair. Upto now I have had to replace the engine,water pump,thermostat,heater matrix at great cost for a car which has done 41,000 miles... I would recommend that if you buy from this dealer ensure you get the vechicle fully inspected. Ive had this car for 10 months and still have over 3 years to pay for it.. Yes I could of paid extra for a extended warranty but the car looked and drove like new after they had done repairs during the initial 1 month cover.Ifully expected the car to last the term of the finance (4 YEARS) without anything major …. How wrong I was... I think Steve James should change his name to Arthur Daley. ….Brian from Merseyside...{pensioner}.
