DONT BOTHER BUYING A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY I called VW Walton as they had a Renault Zoe that I wanted to have a look at. I called in advance to confirm if the car was available and said I would come and have a look at it. When I arrived, I had to wait for about 15 minutes to be seen as there was nobody in the showroom. I then asked a salesperson if they could show me this particular car and they said if I didn’t have an appointment, they wouldn’t be able to show it to me as they are very very busy. I insisted that I just wanted to have a look at the vehicle just to make sure it is the right colour as I hadn’t seen this colour before. The car when it was presented was in a very dirty state. I then requested to make an appointment the following day so I can come back and view the car and test drive it. upon arrival the car was still very dirty it hadn’t even been cleaned to present to me. I took the car out for a test drive and when I came back, I went around the car with the sales executive who acknowledged that the call was dirty, and my concern was that I can’t see the bodywork of the car. I was assured that part of the retail standards the car would be checked over and any scratches, scuffs, dents would be taken care of. I agreed with the salesperson to alloys would be refurbished a dent on the offside quarter would be sorted and a scarf on the offside front bumper would be sorted. VW Walton had the car for one week so they can prepare it during this time. The communication was very poor. I had to carry on phoning up for an update. Business Manager was very rude to us. Before I signed the contract of purchase, I asked the sales executive as well as the Business Manager if the Road fund license was free of charge. The Business Manager confirmed that there is no cost for the road final license and this would be free of charge. A day before the handover I spoke to the sales selective and said please send me over the V5 C document so I can tax and register the car prior to delivery. Again at this point I asked if the road phone license was free of charge as this is an electric car and the sales executive said yes me and manager both checked and yes it is free. On the day of delivery to my surprise the road front license was not free and I had to pay for it. I called the showroom to discuss this and the business manager said you haven’t taken delivery of the car if you have not budgeted for road license or you can’t afford it You don’t have to take the car. This is not the way you talk to customers however I still took delivery of the vehicle as I really wanted it. Please do listen to the Kaul recording. You’ll be surprised and shocked as to how I was spoken to by your business manager. I wasn’t present at the delivery. My wife was and Max was aware of this when I came home and inspected the car. I was shocked that the work that had been promised to me prior to me signing the contract of purchase hadn’t been done and in addition to the work that hadn’t been done, there was further scratches now that the car had been cleaned. I called and emailed several times and was ignored by both. The sales executive and the GSM. I must’ve called about 4 to 5 times yet I was still ignored. I received an email from the GSM saying if I’m not happy with the vehicle I can come and return it. Not even phone call just an email. It took me a long time to find this car and the fun of buying a new car has been destroyed by the experience I’ve had a VW lookers.
