Think you have bought a car? Think aga…

I’m leaving this review based on a frustrating experience my fiancé had with Desirable Car, which I was closely involved in and feel just as disappointed by. My fiancé had arranged finance through Zuto for a car at Desirable Car, and after several discussions and completing all the necessary paperwork, we were informed by Zuto on Friday that everything had been approved and signed off. We were under the impression the car was secured at that point. So it came as a huge shock when, on Saturday afternoon, my fiancé received a call from Desirable Car saying the vehicle had been sold to someone else. Their sales manager claimed that receiving the invoice request from Zuto at 6:15 PM on Friday didn’t constitute a confirmed sale. They also said they tried to call once on Saturday morning to take a deposit, and when they didn’t get through, they sold the car to another customer just ten minutes later. Zuto, however, provided proof that they’d tried to contact Desirable Car by phone (calls that apparently weren’t answered) and also emailed them on Saturday morning—though Desirable Car denied receiving any communication. From my perspective, the whole situation felt very poorly handled. The sales manager’s approach came across as unprofessional, dismissive, and lacking any real accountability. It also raised questions for us about whether the fact that my fiancé chose not to use Desirable Car’s in-house finance (because Zuto offered better rates) played a role in how our purchase was treated. Desirable Car may promote high customer satisfaction, but in our case, the experience was far from it. Communication and process were seriously lacking, and I hope this review encourages them to be more transparent and professional in future dealings—especially when finance has already been approved.
