Just avoid Audi Birmingham
I had full car health check on the 08/01/2025 with Audi dealer and they advised me, I need a full service and they made quotation for £681.76 for my Audi 3 TDI 1.6 Sportback 2015. In the health check report it says, cambelt is in the good working condition (green light) and due to replace in a 2 years. I had full service on the 28/01/2025 and I have been verbally advised (additionally to report on 08/01/2025) that my cambelt is in good working condition and it is due to be replaced when it reaches 140.000 miles. Recently I had an emergency breakdown as my water pomp failed working. The repairing garage advised me, water pump needs to be replaced and the cambelt was in very poor condition also and could break any minute causing severe damage to engine. I paid for both (water pump and cambelt) replacing with original Audi parts from the dealer Volkswagen. I realized, I had breakdown insurance, including labor and parts covering (part of costs could be claimed). They were happy to accept the claim. All I needed, to provide last service report within last year and cambelt service or inspection confirming, cambelt was checked and was in good working condition. I provided to insurer last service report carried on the 28/01/2025 but the was no report about cambelt. I asked Audi to confirm, they did health check for cambelt also and all was ok but they refused it, saying they never done health check for cambelt and they informed my insurer of this regardless health check report on the 08/01/2025 says, cambelt has been checked, it is in good working condition (green light on report) and due to replace in a 2 years. It is absolutely ridiculous as it has blocking my claim. And they are saying, they can't confirm to insurer if the job haven't been done. Then the question, why they put on health check report as cambelt is in ''good working condition'' (green light) if they never checked it? Absolutely scammers! Avoid them.
