BE CAREFUL - LIES ON WARRANTY DURATION

I and many people I know have brought numerous cars from Crossroads over the years so when looking for a first car for my daughter it seemed like a safe choice, how very wrong I was! I was told the car came with a six month warranty which was important as we brought my daughters car 3 months before she was taking her test so the additional 3 months was the comfort I needed that she'd have a reliable car when she started driving. After driving only 40 miles the car started making an awful grinding noise, we have taken to our local garage and now have a bill for nearly £700. When I tried to claim on the warranty was told that it was only for 3 months not the 6 months I was told which I now find from talking to other people they do a lot (I hope they feel good about that!). I hope the sales man feels especially proud of the assurance he gave my daughter that she didn't need to worry etc etc etc. I and my family and friends will never buy from here again. It's a real shame as they used to be a real go to for local people.
