Car not road worthy

Brought a car in April in finance, car was dirty and not valeted when collect, took car home and started having issues with it tried contacting the garage a couple of times but didn’t answer! Took the car to an independent garage where they said that the car was over priced and that the car was not road worthy and needed multiple repairs, front head light had water in it mot failure, air conditioning not working the brake pads and disks badly worn, puncture on back drivers side! The problem is this car had been motd 3 weeks before so HOW did it pass if it had this many problems, cars sat on my friends drive and I’m 2 months into paying the finance and still car isn’t repaired DO Not buy from this garage
