Dangerous and disappointing!

My father ( a customer of Tyn Lon, Llanfair PG for over 25 years) recently had some work carried out on his Volvo, including a new coil spring, brake discs and pads, plus a new tyre. He was however not impressed with the rather lacking customer service on this occasion from what seemed to be a completely new staff. He obviously knew the old staff from his many previous visits. As well as this he was not provided with the customary video showing the work being done and an overview of the underneath of the car. Whilst driving home he noticed a knocking noise but put it down to the coil spring bedding in. However after a few more journeys ( the car is not used every day) and the noise continuing, he decided to call into his local garage rather than return to Tyn Lon (an hours drive) to get it checked. He was amazed to be told that the noise was down to the wheel nuts not having been tightened!!! On phoning Tyn Lon he was dismissed with - “there is no proof that was down to us”!!! Needless to say his trust in Tyn Lon has been shattered. If you like a gamble and are willing to put your life on the line then this is the garage for you. My father most certainly WILL NOT be back. As an update a letter of complaint was sent over 6 weeks ago and no response has ever been received. The matter is now being escalated to Volvo main office.
