Huge disappointment

Annie Marshall 32 minutes ago New Very unprofessional behaviour. Over 3 visits spent in discussion over camper vans and a Peugeot about to arrive. Approx valuation price given. After lengthy discussions - test drive by my partner, I arrived to view, having been given "first refusal!" As we arrived, the van had a price in the window - £14,250 - bearing in mind the "first refusal!"- it was up for sale! The father gave all the "talk & patter" - very friendly. We took our time and had a thorough look. The van in question was offered to us at £14,000. We chatted and agreed between us that we would go ahead. This is where it went bossoms up! The son said he wanted to put it online for more, as he felt it was worth more. ( doing us a favour if we buy it now) Long and short - he finally came out to the van, where I was sitting and said we could have it for £14,100 - no warranty - and basically, take it or leave - ( he will put it on line for more) I didn't like the attitude - and why then, is it on the court for £14,250 - he said it was a MISTAKE and should not have a price ticket in the window. "Never happened before." He could get more on line.."Your choice." You do that then - was my response. He walked away. The father "seemed" disappointed for us, as were we, after all the time and effort. They seem to play good cop bad cop in their sales "technique." The father smoothes the way with all the sweet talk and the son cuts the final deal. No regard for people's feelings. Unprofessional, laddish behaviour. I suggest going to Denny's Motors - Wellington Road. Oh...no doubt they will say, - "I don't know why you've written all this." Yes...yes you do!
