Be careful when using this dealership

The car cosmetically was not as described, negotiated a lower price due to this. After a couple of days, a noise was noticed. Notified dealership within two weeks (waiting for my mechanic to listen to it) and was instantly passed to warranty company. No documentation had been provided at point of sale and it took a few days as well as a reminder for them to provide this. Diagnosis was done and warranty company advised the work was not covered by them. Messaged dealership to advise of this and that I would be requesting them to cover the work. Another few days went passed, during which time I got the work carried out to prevent any more damage to the car and they came back with an offer to cover two thirds of the price or they would do it as they found the quote too high. Claimed my mechanic had overcharged, who I have known for 25+ years and always used so I have a lot of trust in him. When I told him what they quoted the cost would be he advised it would just about cover the part. Even offered to accept the amount that the warranty would have paid out (minus deductions they would have done to avoid anything further) and this was also declined. Advised I would be taking legal action to which they accepted. At no point during the whole saga did they check to see how the car was, if the warranty company had dealt with the issue or anything, but claim this is important to them. They didn’t even make the offer of doing or covering the partial cost of work until after the fact. Be very careful when dealing with these guys. Typical car salesman, very poor customer care and I would not recommend or use again. If you use them then please take a mechanic or something with some know how so that the cars can be checked fully before purchase.
