Bad experience.. car needed new diff

Very disappointed with my whole experience at Williams BMW Manchester. All glitter and no gold. You expect a higher level of quality when buying from a main dealer, but I was sold a car that needed a full differential replacement after just a year (36k miles). This is not what you’d expect from a premium brand. The service department was even worse. Avoid bringing your car here for servicing or MOT. The booking process is misleading. When booking an MOT through the MyBMW app, the confirmation email clearly says you wait in the lounge and the car will be ready in a couple of hours. On the day, I was told I had to leave my car all day. Because of this, I had to rebook for the following week (3rd July), thinking my car was still under warranty. During the MOT they found a rear axle leak and told me the seal would be replaced under warranty (with no diagnostic fee). A few days later, I was suddenly told the car needed a full differential replacement, and that conveniently my warranty had expired; apparently one day before the MOT. This is suspicious, as I took delivery of the car on 5th July, so how could the warranty expire on 2nd July, was there something not done properly during delivery? I’ve asked for clarification but never received a proper answer. They eventually applied “goodwill,” reducing the bill from £4,000 to around £650, but I was still charged a diagnostic fee I was told I wouldn’t have to pay initally. When I tried to raise this at the dealership, they did not provide clarification and told me to contact BMW UK. It’s been almost 2 months with no resolution or clear response to my questions. The whole process feels like they only care about money. When you collect your car, the first thing you see is a card machine in their hand before any explanation. For a brand that prides itself on quality and service, this is unacceptable. I will never buy from Williams Manchester again for myself, family or my company. Don’t be fooled by the shiny windows and flashy showroom, the aftercare and service are extremely poor.
