Consumer Right Act 2015
Has anyone actually ever managed to get their money back after being sold a faulty car (within the first 30 days of leaving the garage) without it being made extremely difficult? The 1 star reviews from several customers being forced to go to trading standards and follow up a refund through their finance company, and still struggling to get their money back is astonishing. This is making me very concerned about the same situation I am going through at the moment. I am unable to drive the Range Rover they sold me in July 2025. Proven by diagnostic the vehicle has required a brand new DPF since March 2025 and failed its MOT in June 2025 due to this, before suddenly passing its MOT days before it was sold to me. The engine management light appeared before I even got home on the day i picked up the vehicle. They should not be using the 30 day warranty as an excuse not to ensure vehicles are reliable and safe before customers hand over their money. Clearly not concerned about the amount of distress and inconvenience this causes buyers when this occurs.
