Clueless

I recently took my car to Motorpoint after receiving an online valuation I was happy with. The experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional from start to finish. When I arrived, staff took my keys, licence, and documents without much explanation. Before I knew it, two people had jumped into my car and driven off for a road test without even asking for my permission. They were gone for about 20 minutes. When they returned, they admitted the car was “perfect” and exactly as described, but then suddenly claimed there was a mileage discrepancy. I explained clearly that the mileage has never been tampered with and even showed them the full MOT history proving its accuracy. After more time wasted, they came back with the excuse that because the car once failed an MOT and stayed at the garage without clocking up extra miles, it looked “suspicious.” This reasoning is completely ridiculous. A failed MOT does not mean the mileage is dodgy—it simply means the car wasn’t driven until it passed. Despite having clear evidence in front of them, they couldn’t apply basic logic or use a bit of initiative. Honestly, they came across like clueless idiots.
