After sales is awful

Well what a shambles this turned out to be. I thought I would treat myself to a new car for my birthday, as my current car is 20years old and I’ve had it a long time. I was concerned about spending a lot of money at dubious car sales places, so I thought I would go with a big company for some peace of mind. Well they’re just the same snakes in the grass like the majority of back street car sales are!!! Luckily I’m a female with more knowledge than most other females on cars, as I’ve been brought up with them. So the car I chose, I gave a good look over the engine and wheels, checked for any accident damage, all seemed fine other than the rear tyres that were showing signs of dry rot, cracking and splitting, I mentioned this to the salesman, who took the car to be checked only to be told they’re safe and still fine. I wasn’t totally convinced, but a mechanic I’m not, so I trusted someone who was qualified more than me. I Purchased the car with cash ( for some reason they don’t accept credit cards for any type of deposit which is odd!!) Sales man tried to sell £800 ceramic coating to me!!! Sorry… but I’ve done car valeting in the past, I can do car care myself easy, also £3000 extended warranty!! Must be joking!!! Again, No thanks.. extended warranty is like throwing your money down the drain, as nothing that goes wrong will be covered, they always tell you that! So said no to that also. Few days later I got the car checked as the tyres were bothering me and was planning a long journey, I was told by my trusted car garage I use for repairs, that the tyres do need changing as they could be a risk of a blowout down a motorway, I immediately got them changed at a local tyre place and contacted bluebell hill branch. To cut a long story short, the after sales is non existent, they wash their hands of all the issues, just repeating like parrots that I viewed it and excepted it, even though I was lied to about the safety of the tyres, just so they could take my money! I also noticed afterwards ,that the car had a mot advisory for those very tyres, which I wasn’t made aware of at the time of purchase. I don’t expect a car of low mileage and costing £15,500 to have mot advisories! Shocking, no wonder they kept that from me, they never showed me the mot history! I also had the passenger front mat go missing. I don’t remember it missing when I viewed the car. The car was valeted quickly while I made payment and I didn’t realise till the next day that it was missing, along with the towing eye. When I asked if maybe these two items were left out when it was being cleaned I got a abrupt reply stating once again that I viewed the car and accepted it and in a kind of patronising way, sent me the unsigned version of that document back to me! This wasn’t an old banger I bought, this car has now cost with tyres nearly £16,000. I expect it to have these things in with the car! My 20year old Audi still has all the accessories!!! I also had to return back to bluebell hill as they “forgot” to refund me back the £100 holding deposit that I put down on the car. So they nearly kept that too!! All in all I’m not impressed with big motoring world, I feel scammed and lied to and the safety of me and my family put at risk with some dodgy old tyres that they claim were safe, just so they didn’t have to change them. Next time I think I’ll be even more careful where I spend my cash.
