Very poor service

I have been using this garage for 7 years, and most of the time they have been great, but the last couple of years they have gone down in their service, but this year was awful…enough for me not to return. My car was booked in for MOT and service, the car failed and had to have a repair done. I was told that they had to get the part delivered later in the day and the car would be finished by 5pm. I was given a small courtesy car to use. I live almost an hour’s drive away, I agreed that I would be back after 4pm. On the way over there (I was 5 minutes away) I received a call saying that the part hadn’t been delivered as the supplier had “forgot” to deliver it, therefore my car wouldn’t be ready and it would be the next day. I had booked my car in on my day off, so it was annoying that through no fault of mine the car wouldn’t be ready. I had to drive all the way back home again. I was told that the part would be delivered by 10.30am the next morning, so my car should be ready by 12pm. They said they would call me in the morning to let me know the progress. I am self employed so I had to take the morning off and reschedule my clients. I waited for the phone call from the garage to say it was ready, but I heard nothing. I called them and was told that the part had only just arrived! This was 12.15pm. They had not bothered to phone me as they said they would. Now this meant that I would also have to take the afternoon off work as my car was being worked on and would be ready in the afternoon. Another lot of rescheduling appointments. I was told that I would receive a phone call within the next 30 mins to give me an update on the progress. Again, I never got the call! I decided to go to the garage. This was around 1.30pm. I arrived approximately 2.30pm. My car still wasn’t ready. I was very annoyed and upset about all of this. The service is terrible. They tried to make me feel that none of this was their fault, and it was my problem that I wasn’t able to work. A very rude, arrogant man came out to see what was going on, (he is obviously one of the bosses there) we had various exchanges of words at the desk, and they did end up giving me a very small discount. He was furious about this and made some very sarcastic comments. All very unprofessional! My car was also filthy. It says on their website that they always clean the car after an MOT and service, but they haven’t actually done this for the last couple of years, so that is wrong to say that they do. Also, the courtesy car they gave me had no screen wash in! I think that is a legal requirement for every car to have this. It is a real shame that they have gone downhill like this, as they used to be a very good garage, with great customer service, but unfortunately they are no longer good, and I will not be returning. They are very unprofessional and rude, and the service is poor. Don’t waste your money going here.
