Kay
Terrible experience
Bought a 2 yr old car, low mileage for engine light to appear after 7 days. Donald’s would not let me reject vehicle, as are my consumer rights, and I then had to endure 7 months of backwards and forwards to Kia garage while they tried to fix. Last visit the car was there for 8 weeks, for the light to appear again a week after collection. After serving a section 75 via my credit card company, Donald’s finally offered me a refund - but £1,125 less than I’d paid. The charge was for mileage I’d completed apparently even though majority of mileage was testing by Kia while under repair. In addition to this, it equated to 50p a mile and I’d paid for the fuel!! Faced with a choice of a long drawn out legal argument over what is “reasonable mileage charge” and being without a car, I was forced to accept and move on - I was completely ripped off. I was advised by another Kia garage that the 2 year old car had 4 previous warranty claims prior to me buying, and I made a further 3 - it has an embedded problem but no doubt Donald’s will put back on forecourt for some other sucker to buy. They’re making a profit by selling cars with embedded problems - it’s dealerships like this that give the car industry a bad name.
