Do Not Trust This Man
This man sold my son a unroadworthy and illegal car and tried to make out my son was the one who caused the problems. The car started overheating about a month after it was purchased, we tried to get it fixed at a local garage thinking it was a simple fix, the problem persisted. I contacted Peter who immediately blamed my son and said the warranty had been invalidated by us taking it to a garage. We were given no warranty, and when I requested a copy, he said “the warranty is verbal”. The car was sold and supposedly passed an MOT with wrong size wheels on the same axle; it had no lightbulbs at the back and the overheating issue. Peter agreed to look at the car and came back saying he had fixed the overheating issue, "it was a simple fix" he said, it immediately overheated on the journey home. Peter then refused to help anymore so we had a report done on the car, it was stated that it was most likely an inner engine problem costing around £1000+ but until it was investigated fully there was no way of knowing, the independent garage also pointed out there was evidence of someone trying to fix the problem. We eventually took a claim out via section 75 of the finance laws and won our case! Peter lied from the start saying it had one owner when in fact it had 3 previous owners, DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN WHEN BUYING A CAR.
