AVOID THIS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS
Bought a Mercedes Eclass 1.8 convertible from this garage on the clear understanding it came with full service history it didn’t there was 5 YEARS MISSING plus the Auto gear is had not been serviced for 13 years despite Mercedes capping I to be done at 70,000 miles at the latest the cars on 78,000 miles also when the car arrived on a open trailer the driver started the car up and plooms of blue smoke came out the exhaust I rang GLOBAL CARS only to be told this was normal because the car came out of long term storage !!!!! Well if that’s the case the car was driven onto the trailer 5 hours previous so within that time oil had seeped past the piston rings also I accepted the car then realised the missing service history other faults with the car include Slipping Auto gearbox (due to lack of service should of had 2 services between 2013& 2025 ) despite what Mercedes say because that’s only a guideline having only driven merceds cars for over 40 years I think I’m a good judge of these cars also bad vibration on start up again with gearbox whine the brake discs and pads where right on the minimum they were even stated on the MOT advisory plus there’s an oil leak and the silver warranty only has a £2,000 limit on it and that won’t cover half the costs to put this car the right so rang GLOBAL CARS again this time the dealer was very rude and arrogant and told me not to contact him or his garage again and to deal with CLOSE BROTHERS CAR finance who own the car also over 3 WEEKS NOW AND STILL NO LOGBOOK!!!!! this is now in the hands of the complaints dept of close brothers but PLEASE TAKE NOTE STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!!!
