After documented faults were confirmed by independent specialists, the dealer refused to repair all issues and rejected my proposed amicable solutions. When I exercised my right to reject under the Consumer Rights Act, they did not comply fully, instead attempting to unwind the deal with conditions that were not consistent with consumer law for a distance sale. This left me in a significantly worse financial position. Potential buyers should be extremely vigilant: Document everything during the buying process. Inspect invoices carefully—pricing adjustments may be made to remain under certain tax thresholds, which can complicate matters if the deal is unwound. Based on my experience, I strongly advise caution when considering distance sales at attractive price points. Ensure you check the vehicle thoroughly and understand your rights before committing.
