Over all good experience

Good experience overall Went to look at a car Saturday that’s i’d seen online. Salesman was great and took us on a test drive. He showed us everything in the car and answered any questions we had and gave us a price for part exchanging my car. John in finance was very helpful and explained everything well so decided to purchase the car. Went to pick the car up on Monday. Which is where my only issue came. Went in to finalise everything. Tax etc. steve went out to get the mileage, took the car for a drive without us knowing and came back telling us there was an issue and couldn’t give us the full amount for part exchanging mine as there was an issue with my car. Ended up getting £750 for my car instead of the £1,500 I was originally told. In my opinion my car should have been taken for a drive before I was given the quote for part ex. And before I had agreed to purchase the car from there. This then changed my monthly finance payments which I had to agree with as I had committed to buying the car and had already changed my car insurance over. This I felt was very underhand and a way to give less for part exchange, as when we were pulling up we saw Steve take another car for a drive as people were sitting waiting to pick up their new car. This is obviously a common procedure they follow which should be done before people commit to buying cars there. I had previously bought cars from Ron skinner however would defiantly think twice about part exchanging my car there in the future.
