Disappointing
I purchased a Toyota Auris Hybrid from this dealership due to Toyota’s stated emphasis on reliability, durability, and low maintenance, and because the vehicle had a full Toyota service history. Within a short period following purchase, the vehicle experienced a front suspension failure caused by corrosion, involving a safety-critical component and requiring immediate repair. This was of particular concern given that the vehicle had been serviced exclusively within the Toyota network, and no advisory or warning regarding corrosion or suspension deterioration had been identified or communicated during previous services. While the repair was completed, I was disappointed that no goodwill consideration was offered, despite the failure occurring shortly after purchase and being unrelated to normal wear and tear. In my view, this outcome does not align with the reasonable expectations associated with purchasing a Toyota-maintained vehicle from an authorised dealership. I am sharing this experience to ensure transparency and to encourage closer scrutiny of safety-related components during routine servicing.
