Worthless MOT & Service of car

I traveled up from London to buy a 4 year old Dacia Duster that the sales staff promised had been serviced and MOT'd, as I planned to drive it to Cyprus where it would be re-registered. Luckily I had the brakes and tyres checked over before I left the UK on my 2,200 mile journey as I found one of the tyres was illegal and the front brake discs we lipped and dangerous. I complained to the Matthew Tones the garage owner and then to Renault who said they do not get involved in disputes. I got nowhere with this and so complained to the Motor Ombudsman, as the garage had directed me to, only to find they are not accredited to this service! Do not touch these people, even with a barge pole!!!!!
