Poor dealer.

Car presented a handbrake fault after 3½ hours and driving under 200 miles. Reported fault to dealer the next day, 24/12/2025. I waited patiently until the 02/01/2026 and received no response. After phoning again on 02/01/26, the dealer called back and declined to fix the fault, "because I got a discount". They quoted the car being sold as seen., However, even had this been a legal excuse, their terms state, "if the car was a clearance". It was not advertised or sold as a clearance vehicle. I responded by stating that I wanted to return the car and asked them to arrange collection. I received no response. My next step is a report to Trading Standards and the DVLA as I have suspicions about the mot. On having the fault checked, the cause of the failure was one nearly seize cable, two stiff, ungreased pivots and one caliper with no grease on the pins. Appalling workmanship as they claimed to have installed new discs and pads I cannot recommend this dealer, and suggest avoiding.
