C class MHEV diesel faults and abysmal s
I have purchased 8 MBs various models, 6 from Eastern Western Newbridge Edinburgh over a 12 year period. On test drive car displayed EMS alert on dash. 2 days later car collected and told ‘a battery problem’ now fixed’ 5 days after buying car refused to start and ‘48 v battery fault go to workshop’ displayed. Not possible when car would not start.!!!! Vehicle then in workshop for 3 days. On collection waited 70 minutes in Reception whilst 1 service dept member struggled to deal with 4 customers, a couple very vocal with complaint. No apology offered for wait; no written report offered until I asked for it. Essence of diagnosis - 12v battery replaced. Dealership awash with staff ( not all sales) whilst one person in Service dept. Staff critical of management and their frugal policies. The last MB I will buy from this dealership. A sad decline in the performance and customer care levels from this Dealership. ( new management a couple of years ago - ethos definitely moved away from ‘customer first’).
