I originally reviewed cartime Nelson on the day I bought the car, but a few days later and I have came back to update. Everything seemed smooth with the purchasing of the car, but a few days later I contacted the DVLA to check on the status of my logbook, as I wanted to get my personalised plates on my car as soon as possible. To my surprise, they informed me that the ownership was not transferred over to me, meaning the logbook had not been ordered when I purchased the car. I contacted the branch, spoke with Asam and now the DVLA website says the new V5C has been processed and issued as of today, 5 days after purchase. Meaning it will be delayed but will arrive at my address hopefully soon. I understand mistake can happen, especially when you are a busy dealership, but having the car in your name is a basic part of the process. Quite disappointed by this, but thankfully it seems to have now been resolved after chasing it up. Glad I checked this with the DVLA a few days ago or I would’ve been without the V5C. I got a great deal on the car through finanace and I love it, but feel let down by the processing of documents.
