Deposit Paid But Issue With Description

I paid a deposit on 12 February to buy a van after being told there were other buyers interested and that I would need to secure it. The day before the planned collection I realised the van was non-standard, which hadn’t been mentioned in the original description. I raised this and explained that I no longer felt comfortable going ahead with the purchase, and asked if the deposit could be returned, but this was declined. Overall this was a frustrating experience, so I’m sharing it so other buyers have a clear picture before deciding to place a deposit.
