Awful experience
I rarely leave reviews, but this has been a very disappointing experience from start to finish. I purchased a car from this dealership and, shortly afterwards, had it inspected by my regular garage. They identified a leaking radiator and a worn near side rear wheel bearing—both requiring repair. Given how quickly these issues appeared, it strongly suggests they were present at the point of sale and were not picked up during the dealership’s pre-sale checks. This raises serious concerns for me, as either these faults were missed during inspection, or they may have already been known about and the car was still sold in this condition. Either way, it’s not what you expect when buying from a dealership. When I contacted them, I was advised to go through the warranty company, which I chose not to do as I wanted the repairs carried out by a garage I trust and to avoid delays. I then tried to resolve things directly and reasonably. To be fair, I was willing to cover half of the repair costs myself and only asked the dealership to contribute towards the other half. Despite this, they only offered £150, which doesn’t come close to reflecting the actual cost of the essential repairs. They also suggested returning the car for repair or a refund, but this wasn’t a practical or safe option due to the distance involved (around a 3-hour drive), especially with a coolant leak that could risk engine overheating. In the end, I’ve had to arrange and pay for the repairs locally just to make the car safe and usable. Overall, I’m very disappointed—not just with the condition the car was sold in, but with how the situation has been handled. I made a reasonable effort to resolve this fairly, but it simply wasn’t met halfway. I would strongly recommend anyone considering buying from here to have the vehicle independently inspected as soon as possible and to think carefully about how any issues might be dealt with if they arise.
