Mercedes c300e
I purchased a Mercedes C300e (BL21 HRW) for £20,000 and unfortunately experienced issues from the very beginning. The car was supplied with only one key, and shortly after purchase I began encountering multiple faults. These included problems with the windows opening on their own (which required a control module replacement), braking issues causing vibration (brakes and discs were replaced), an error relating to the fuel tank sensor, defective wipers, and headlights flickering with an electrical noise. There are also ongoing issues with the steering and alignment. Despite being advised initially that this was only an alignment issue, the problem has persisted after multiple attempts to resolve it. The steering wheel does not sit straight, and the car pulls noticeably when driving. I made the dealership aware of these issues from the outset. On one occasion I was provided with a courtesy car, although it also had warning lights displayed. I was advised the issues would be resolved, but this has not been the case and I have since been directed to third parties for further work. This situation has resulted in a significant amount of time and inconvenience, and I have now formally requested to reject the vehicle. Based on my experience, I feel the vehicle may have underlying issues that have not yet been fully identified. I was very excited about this purchase, but unfortunately it has been a difficult and ongoing experience. I would recommend that anyone considering a similar purchase ensures they carry out thorough checks and seek independent advice where possible.
