I purchased a used Ford Focus from EasyCars Lon Ltd and my experience has been extremely disappointing. Within a short time of purchasing the vehicle, I became concerned about its condition and arranged an independent inspection. The inspection identified multiple issues, including tyres with visible cording, an oil leak, a coolant leak, air-conditioning issues, battery/stop-start concerns, and later brake-related concerns that required further investigation. The vehicle was returned to EasyCars Lon Ltd for inspection/repair and was kept for several days. However, when the vehicle was returned to me, a number of the original issues were still present. I also requested clear information about what had been inspected, what faults had been identified, what work had been carried out, and whether any parts had been replaced, but I did not receive the level of written detail I would expect in the circumstances. Further to this, once returned I took it for a second inspection following the repairs, Halfords then confirmed that none were repaired except the air-conditioning causing me to have no other option than to reject the vehicle for a full refund. This has been a stressful and costly experience, particularly because the concerns were identified so soon after purchase. I felt the communication lacked transparency, and I was left without confidence in the vehicle or the way the matter was handled. I would advise any prospective customer to proceed with caution, arrange an independent pre-purchase inspection, check tyres and look for signs of leaks, and make sure all representations about the vehicle’s condition are provided clearly in writing.
