Awful! Sold me a remapped car but didn’t tell me it was. They said they don’t usually check these things. Then my car had issues so wasn’t covered under warranty. They did fix it for a discounted price after 2 months of going back forth (should be fixed for free if it was covered under warranty). They sold me RAC warrant for £300 but forgot to register my car with them. They said they had switched to a different warranty company so forgot to do mine (doesn’t help me). I simply asked for a refund of this £300 so I can do my own thing. They initially said they would refund it but then said they want to add me to their new warranty (which I don’t want). So now I have to take legal action to get it back! Avoid like the plague.

Stay well clear of this joke of a company. They will sell you a dodgy car and then avoid you and avoid all responsibility. Reported to trading standards and seeking legal advice

I did my own Totalvehiclecheck (£8.95) having given a deposit of £500. Report showed it had been sold at a salvage auction few months before with massive front end damage including evidential pics. They refused to accept it was the same car albeit Vin & Reg matched theirs..and that their HPI came back clear (carverticle) and was the best in the business. Pistonheads review of Carverticle states, it's perfect if you want to hide Import/exported cars and salvage damaged cars from the reports. Taking them to the small claims currently, so I would avoid any possibility of purchasing a vehicle from 1st choice motors (more like last choice...)

Sold me a car that had underlying electrical and aircon problems that were not obvious until I started to use it. He lied about service work supposedly carried out prior to sale then the warranty company refused to accept my claim for repairs. He seems to think a negotiated price exempts him from any responsibility. Definitely one to avoid. Caveat Emptor.

My husband and I identified a car we wanted to buy at 1st Choice Motors, he went to view it and we were keen to proceed, but despite having the option to buy online via credit or debit card, they refused to accept a card payment at the showroom or online. They said we had to pay by bank transfer, which felt very unprofessional and risky so there was no way we would proceed this way with a dealer. They had a card machine and also have a payment portal online via Stripe, but refused both of these options. Not sure how they can be an RAC approved dealer when they can't even accept card payments!

Bought Zafira 3 years ago. Spent all my hard earned money to repair it. Caused me nothing but grief.

After 3 months of buying a Mercedes E class, I experienced some major issues with 1st Choice Motors. The car was parked illegally on the morning it was sold, and I was hit with a parking ticket which was never resolved. To avoid someone coming to my house I had to pay the parking fine, which was not refunded until I chased them for full 9 months. The car had injection problem, but was never fixed even after 3 attempts taking it back to the dealer to get resolved (with their partner garage). I ended up about £500 down in repair fee, and the car was still broken. Asad (salesman) has time and again promised to get the claims in order, my fee fully refunded - but it was never the case. Their Admin team replied about 1.5 months later to advise that my repair cost must be claimed back with RAC directly (under warranty), and not through dealer. This was never communicated, and I ended up with nothing and eventually ran out of the 6 month dealer warranty. Eventually, they told me it was my fault for dealing with Asad (their salesman) and Asad is no longer their employee, so they have nothing to give me. This has truly been a nightmare trying to sort out with them while managing the birth of our child (we bought the car expecting it to give us more comfort a few months before our due date, but boy it brought us more trouble).

1st Choice Motors is the worst dealer ever. Don't buy from them !!! I sued them. They knowingly sold me a car with gearbox fault which it cost 8k to replace . Avoid them at all cost. I believe that even their reviews are fake. The company it's not even called 1st choice motors. If you get ripped off by this crooks ,please contact me and we can have a joint case together.

Hello I have just read your review of a car dealer. My mom is in the same situation now although I think it may be another dealer called "1st choice car sales" she is experiencing the same situation, did you sue them in the end and how did you manage to do it?

Yes,I was also sold a faulty car and bill they gave has different company name but same address. I have already sued these frauds. JUst waiting for Ballifs to recover my money.
EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND REGRETTING BUYING A FAULTY FROM 1ST CHOICE MOTORS. Bought a Audi A3 car for £7800 which is constantly on repair. So far we lost extra £2700.. Their manager never answer phone calls, not trust worthy people, as they failed to keep their promise to compensate my loss in relation to the faulty car we bought. They refused to take the car back, instead temporarily repaired it just to pass the warranty period.. In addition to this first they agreed to part exchange then the refused it. Also, just to attract customers they advertise wrong details on website for Eg:-on the website my car's mileage was 44000, but actually it was 49000. PLEASE BE CAREFUL !! I NEVER RECOMMEND 1ST CHOICE MOTORS TO ANY BUYERS,
I bought Honda Jazz from 1st Choice Motors last weekend. Very happy with the service received. They have answered all my queries very nicely. Took care of small scratches and gave me nice and clean car. Good dealers, I would recommend them to my friends.

Ani Rajendran in response to Very good service. Helpful people.
We bought a Audi A3 for our son. We had extremely bad experience. Their manager never answer phone calls or reply to emails or letters if it is a complaint. First they agreed to compensate our loss but now they are ignoring us. We lost lots of money and still regretting to buy a faulty car which they temporarily fixed. It is constantly on repair. Highly do not recommend to any buyers.
