Honest and straight forward dealing with 3x motors.

Firstly if I could award a 0 I would. I purchased a BMW 3 series M-sport from 3x motors in May 2016. If you wonder why I am leaving a review over 2 years later, its because I had to take this company to court to ensure justice was served with the motive of hoping it may deter future customers from loosing a lot of money. I will try to keep this brief. The car broke down 8 months after purchase. Green flag ran a diagnostic and said there is something very, very wrong with the engine. I took it to a BMW garage who conducted a full inspection of the vehicle. They found numerous serious issues all around the engine, specifically 5 leaks in the engine itself, but more catastrophic was that the entire engine was fully sludged up. I paid just under 5k for the vehicle and BMW said it wasn't worth fixing it. I contacted 3x motors and they said it was nothing to do with them but wildly claimed that the BMW engineers were lying. They asked that I take the car to their mechanics (over 30 mins drive away). Under law you must allow them the opportunity to provide a remedy so I had the vehicle lifted to them. Well what can I say a year later they still had the vehicle. They ignored the BMW report and starting fixing all sorts of things on the car. After a month without a car, I demanded a courtesy vehicle. After a lot of disagreement they gave me a courtesy car from their forecourt. This car it turned out was un-taxed so it was clamped outside my workplace. 3x motors were forced to pay the clamp fees. Later down the line I was driving the courtesy vehicle and the drive shaft fell through the bottom of my car whilst I was travelling with my children at 60mph, it was terrifying. 3x motors were informed of the broken down vehicles location to collect but they ignored me. They claimed my vehicle was fixed and arrived at my friends house at 9pm. I asked them if I could test drive the vehicle as they wanted £1,471 from me but they refused to let me. They said they would not give me the car unless I paid, so holding me to ransom. I reluctantly transferred the money to them and they disappeared. I sat in the car and sadly it became immediately obvious that it was in the same condition it originally went in with, nothing was fixed. I demanded they take the vehicle back which they reluctantly did. They then said it would be an additional £500 to fix. At this stage I sought legal advice and reported them to trading standards. I was advised to pay no more money and issue legal proceedings which I did. They played silly games claiming they did not receive instructions from the court etc but eventually a year later we went to court. Thanks to the condemning evidence from BMW which clearly stated along with photographic evidence that the damage was historic and therefore was not caused by me they lost. They even used made up evidence which the judge tore to shreds. This included an alleged service that had been done on the vehicle. They showed the judge who noted that £6 spent on oil and no other parts is not a service and laughed at their evidence. I think the judge was as insulted as I was. The judge awarded me all the money plus costs and told them clearly that their right to appeal was refused and the case should not be heard in court again. They had 14 days to pay the money but once again they did not comply. I then instructed high court enforcement officers to attend their property and cease the money which they did plus they incurred an additional £2,000 for playing their silly games. I thought it was all said an done but much to my surprise I recently received a court summons and this time they were taking me to court, for the return of their courtesy car (this was already addressed by the judge who stated that I had no liability for that). I submitted my defense knowing that not only was I going to defend but that I would be looking into getting a harassment order for abuse of process and a fraudulent claim. At this stage it was my view and that of a solicitors that they were trying to wrongfully claim money from me. They failed again to comply with the court and their case was struck out. Since then I have reported them to action fraud and previously reported them to Bedfordshire police for knowingly providing courtesy vehicles without tax etc. Believe me when I say this is the shortened version of events. Stay well away from this firm, they sell substandard vehicles and hide behind the 3 month warranty. Remember it is difficult to prove historic damage in a vehicle so stay well away and save yourself the money and the heartache.

You are an absolute star madam, let me tell you first you were lucky enough that i was on bed rest for six months when you contacted us and a new employee could not handle you properly. you bought a 10 years old car which drove excellent for 9 months without any fault but still we took responsibility to fix the car. you bought a 10 year old car from a used car garage while you took it to the main dealer BMW while i think you should buy it from there as well. you got someone who you know personally to get that diagnostic report as if you remember judge said same thing in the court that this report is very rare that BMW will issue. we diagnosed the same car from BMW and BMW did not tell us about any holes in the engine and car is driving absolutely fine till today. Good luck

Thank you for your response 3x Motors to my honest and factual review. It's a shame however that your response is full of lies. You can try and convince yourself and others who read the reviews that you are innocent and honorable however, the judge agreed with everything I said and was satisfied with my comprehensive HONEST evidence, hence you lost. I was able to demonstrate in both the preliminary hearing and the final hearing, that the vehicle was substandard and you produced a forged service certificate at the hearing. As you are claiming that the BMW report was not legitimate, I will be gladly forwarding your public response to BMW Lancaster who completed the full diagnostic which was used in court. They may be interested in your suggestion that their professional report was not legitimate and of course, I am interested that you are stating that I used a fraudulent document - this will be passed on to the relevant investigative organisations. In addition, As you are aware I have already reported you to trading standards and I will send this response to action fraud and trading standards alike, so thank you for this. May I remind you once again, that not only did you loose at court, the court order states that any appeal by you, 3x motors will be denied. I have numerous copies of the court order and I am more than happy to forward you a copy as you appear to have failed to recall the true facts.

Also 3x Motors, as you are making public accusations about fraudulent documentation and you having no knowledge of numerous holes throughout the engine, I will gladly provide proof which we can publicized and let member of the public decide for themselves. I am more than happy to back up my review with evidence, what about you?

Dealers selling cars that are un-roadworthy is not just irresponsible, it is in fact a CRIMINAL OFFENCE. For good reason, because it's a serious risk to public safety. Fraud is when trickery is used to gain a dishonest advantage over another person. So, to actively withhold payments due under the consumer rights of individuals and the manipulation of the legal system in order to try and achieve this is also a CRIMINAL OFFENCE. Again for good reason. What kind of civilized society would tolerate such wicked behavior without there being serious consequences? All too often 'Dodgy Car Dealers' are seen as a consumer issue. But often under the law, they are actually a CRIMINAL concern. Criminals, who in my opinion have been getting away with daylight robbery for far too long.. I would love to know who your lawyer is. Please publish if you can. They are clearly very adept at dealing with such people. I would gladly retain them, just to have the pleasure of seeing some of these types not only lose their ill gotten gains, but also their freedom.
Very helpful people always recommend.

I had been let down by a private seller and needed a car quickly. I found a Peugeot 207 advertised on Autotrader for £3300. Seemed a fair price for a 12 plate with 43k miles. I went the 50 miles to see it. Apart from some dents in the door, the car and documentation seemed fine. I left a deposit and arranged for the car to be delivered when the body repairs were done. The car was dirty. No warranty or AA cover was given, both were in the advert. First drive over 50 mph, severe judder from the front brakes - £130 to be replaced. The following weekend I took the car to Wales and under pressure and load, the clutch became very spongy. Clutch lit cost £280. Was due a 20k service and this was an extra £170, as the car was sluggish. I sent 3x motors a message and an email - no reply. I sent further messages by text, eventually having a reply telling me what the warranty was, and that I was told this verbally when I bought it! - I was told that they had driven it and that there was no obvious problem, and that I should have discussed any issues with them. Fact of the matter is that no warranty would cover these items, and there should have been a proper documented check of the car before it was put up for sale - terms of the 'AA promise'. On the face of it, nice guys but not at all interested in customer satisfaction. Don't buy a car of them.

hi, Did you ever make a complain or contacted us with any problem which we did not fix it for you. Lets be honest. cheers
When I pulled up outside the building, I to admit I was a bit disappointed with the appearance of the place, but i thought as I had driven over 50 miles, I might as well as view the car that I had arranged to see. As I test dove the car to my surprise I found the staff to be very kind and knowlegable. I asked to see the cars history which I was shown and they answered all my questions. They pointed out the things which needed to be done, and had got them fixed. Unlike other car dealers that I had been to they didn't try to hide anything, and I got a free one year's membership with the AA . If like me, you are quick to judge on appearance then dont, after all I came to buy a car, not to look at fancy show room or a plush sales office. All I can say is well done guys. I would not hesitate to buy a car fr0m 3Xmotors

Malik from 3x Motors Ltd in response to DO NOT BUY ANY CAR FROM 3XMOTOR
Dear Customer, when you opted out warranty and go for huge discout we cannot do anything.
Yesterday I arranged a part exchange deal with my Volvo for a Porsche at 3x Motors Ltd, I requested that 12 months MOT was added prior to collection, I double checked first thing this morning that everything was still ok and at 4pm I received an email to confirm the vehicle had passed the MOT and was ready for collection I immediately arranged new insurance for the Porsche and travelled down to Dunstable to collect. I sent a couple of progress updates as traffic was slow and at 5.50pm I sent another message to say that I was only 5 minutes away so what could possibly go wrong ? I received a text message reply that read as follows - "No problem someone has bought the vehicle just now..." These type of people have no place dealing with honest members of the public.
